Important Note on Campaign Finance Disclosure: California law requires political campaigns to publicly disclose the names, addresses, occupations, and employers of donors who contribute $100 or more. This information is filed with the FPPC and becomes part of the public record. This disclosure is a legal requirement and is not subject to your opt-out rights under the CCPA/CPRA.

We are required to verify your identity before processing your request. We will not require you to create an account to submit a request.

Authorized Agents: You may designate an authorized agent to submit requests on your behalf. We will require written authorization or a valid power of attorney, and we may verify your identity directly before processing the request.

Appeals: If we decline to take action on your request, you have the right to appeal our decision. To appeal, contact us at the information provided in Section 13. We will respond to your appeal within 45 days.

06 Sensitive Personal Information

Under the CPRA, "sensitive personal information" includes Social Security numbers, financial account details, precise geolocation, racial or ethnic origin, religious beliefs, health information, and certain biometric data.

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information. If you voluntarily include sensitive personal information in a message to us (e.g., in the contact form), we will use it only to respond to your inquiry and will not retain it beyond that purpose.

If you are making a donation, your payment card information is collected and processed directly by our third-party payment processor (eFundraising Connections) and is subject to their privacy policy. We do not store full payment card numbers on our systems.

07 Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required by law.

Campaign finance records (donor names, amounts, and related information) are subject to California FPPC record-keeping requirements and must be retained for a minimum of four (4) years following the election. These records may not be deleted upon request due to legal obligations.

Volunteer and supporter contact information will be retained for the duration of the campaign and for a reasonable period thereafter for legal compliance. You may request removal from our marketing communications at any time by contacting us or using the unsubscribe link in any email we send you.

When personal information is no longer needed and there is no legal obligation to retain it, we will securely delete or de-identify it.
